Personality:
At the start of Nightbringer, it's been about 1 year since the end of the Great Celestial War, meaning that Satan has also only been alive for 1 year. Since his birth, the only emotion Satan could understand and feel was wrath. Because his brothers were so recently traumatized from their Fall from the Celestial Realm and their subsequent transformation into demons, Satan was left to navigate his way through life in the Devildom mostly on his own.

He didn't do a very good job of it.

His brothers were all terrified of him except for Lucifer because Satan's temper was explosive, which didn't help the ostracization that Satan felt. Satan's brothers would actively avoid him, not wanting to deal with him or his outbursts. They would frequently chain Satan up to furniture or shove him into lockers when he would lose his temper. Unsurprisingly, this left Satan with the impression that they only called him their brother because they were forced to do so. This ostracization, coupled with the identity crisis he was facing due to his unique birth as the aftermath of Lucifer's anger, served as fuel for Satan's own anger, and no one had the patience to calm him down during that first year.

Things improved after that first year, and although he still only felt wrath, the others slowly warmed up to Satan. They eventually discovered that he really was capable of feeling something other than destructive anger. This is mostly due to the Main Character (MC), the same one from the future timeline, showing up in the past of the Nightbringer era and getting involved with the brothers. Because of MC's influence, the brothers were able to become more comfortable with themselves and their new life in the Devildom, which meant that they could finally have the patience to try to understand Satan.

Over the course of Nightbringer, Satan is able to develop a stronger sense of self and makes an effort to better contain his wrath, even though Satan believes the wrath is who he is at his core. He becomes fascinated by cats, which essentially become his happy place and always, without fail, calms him down. Although he still has difficulty trusting how genuine his brothers are in their efforts to include him in the family, a part of him believes they might care a little. It helps that when his brothers were offered the opportunity to become angels again on the condition they abandoned Satan, all of them declined. Once that initial trust with his family is built, Satan is able to start truly interacting with people outside of his family in a calm and patient manner (for the most part).

Flash forward to the future/main timeline, a good 1,000 years have passed since the events of Nightbringer. All of the brothers' relationships with each other have severely deteriorated, especially what little positive feeling there was between Satan and Lucifer. For the most part, Satan is well-behaved, following the rules and doing what he's supposed to... unless it was something Lucifer told him to do... sometimes.

Early on, Satan masks however he might be feeling with either polite or charming smiles, although sometimes it becomes too much for him and his mask slips, revealing his true irritation or anger. Even so, his temper tantrums become less frequent, although they're still just as violent, and are mostly directed at whatever room he happens to be in. In exchange for being able to keep a level-head through most emotionally charged situations, Satan now tends to lose his temper primarily over things that mildly inconvenience him more than anything, but he does still have other things that trigger his temper, too, like Lucifer.

In the 1,000 years or so since Nightbringer, Satan has made an effort to build up his knowledge to earn the respect of his brothers and people around him. He primarily uses books to do this, but he's not afraid of research or trying things out himself to learn. He may talk about wanting to hurt, humiliate, or sometimes even kill Lucifer, but his deepest desire is to find a meaning for his existence. When others compare him to Lucifer, who is responsible for Satan's birth in the first place, and who had the biggest hand in molding Satan into who he is, Satan cannot help but lose his temper. It frustrates and scares him that people might think of him as a stand-in for Lucifer. That's why, even 1,000 years later, Satan is doing what he can to separate himself from Lucifer so that others will find use in his existence and not just as a fallback if Lucifer isn't around.

With the help of MC, the brothers slowly repair their relationships with one another (again), and this helps mellow Satan out significantly. He often volunteers to help his brothers out, even if they don't always do the same in return for him. He will cook light for his brothers when they're sick, remind them to get rest and take care of themselves, and in general becomes more open about the care he has for his brothers. Even his relationship with Lucifer improves, although that doesn't erase the fact that Satan doesn't like to be compared to him.

Family matters aside, Satan has developed into an individual with his own interests. In particularly, he loves catwatching, detective novels, and coming up with poisons and curses to mildly inconvenience Lucifer. He will often go to social events, but at the same time doesn't go out of his way to talk to anyone. Even so, he's willing to engage in small talk, being genuinely interested because he likes learning new things, even if they're not "big" things. His love of cats has also developed to the point where he doesn't go anywhere without cat biscuits for any strays he may come across. He has developed a strong sense of empathy for others, often noting when someone is acting different from their usual selves or when someone is trying to hide something. He has also developed something along the lines of pridefulness, but not to the point where he's unable to apologize for being wrong. He is still rather honest and straightforward, though.

For people who Satan considers to be a friend, he cares greatly for their wellbeing. If he believes someone is feeling sad, he will go out of his way to cheer them up by bringing them something they enjoy, like their favorite snack, but his go-to "get well" idea is to bring that person somewhere they can pet a lot of cats. However, while he may be polite and respectful to strangers, it often takes a lot to get him to warm up to someone enough to take off the "perfectly polite young man" mask.

At the end of the day, while Satan can still be rather aloof, his relationship with MC and his brothers have helped him come to care about people so he can develop closer relationships.

Past @ Songerein

Satan was in game from Sept 4, 2021 to early February 2023 and I would like for him to keep his memories. During that time, he made some very positive CR with Zelda (BotW) and Mei (Turning Red), who helped him come to be more empathetic toward humans in general. While Satan has mellowed a lot by the time of his canon point, his friendship with them encouraged Satan to be more tolerant of others.

Especially with Zelda, with whom he made a pact. Well, as much of a pact as you can get in Song, anyway. Zelda melted his frosty heart and they shared a lot of long-winded thoughts about different aspects of life (in general), their lives, etc.

He had other CR as well, although a large chunk of it has dropped, like Mei. A couple are still around like Alastor (Hazbin Hotel), but the above CR was his most important cross-canon CR.

Abilities & Inventory:

Inventory
• The clothes on his back
• His D.D.D., which is like a stylized smartphone. It won't work in this world, but it will serve as a friendly reminder of all the cute cat image boards he's not able to view from here. He can probably charge it with dreamotion/crystals/etc to use it as a camera, though.

Affinity for Magic
Satan is naturally gifted at magic. This includes elemental magic, which is common for demons to know, as well as healing magic, which is a rare ability/discipline. He is also highly skilled with curses and can typically cast curses and undo others' curses with ease. Said curses can range from forcing two people to magically hold hands, taking away someone's ability to speak, and just straight up causing them to suffer varying amounts of pain.

Demon Form
Like his brothers, by the "present timeline," Satan spends most of his time in a form that looks no different than that of a human's. However, also like his brothers, any strong emotion can cause an involuntary shift into his demon form. For Satan, this is the addition of ramlike horns and a long, draconic tail that he typically keeps coiled around his leg. It doesn't give him any extra power, but an involuntary shift into this form does show a lack of emotional control. He can shift into his demon form voluntarily as well, and would be expected to be in his demon form at certain events in canon.

Wrath Aura
Similarly to Lucifer, when Satan gets angry, a physical aura manifests. It is capable of destroying a room, or a building, and for that reason Satan does his best to not let himself get that angry. In Song, it would probably just be strong enough to destroy the furniture in the room, and maybe some of the foundation itself.

Pacts
Although rare, demons can and do make pacts. They are limited to making pacts with humans (or at the very least, they cannot make pacts with other demons). Typically, it is a mutually beneficial relationship where the demon gives some sort of boon or other power to the human. The reason pacts are rare is because they make the demon vulnerable, as they are technically forced to be subservient to the human while the pact is active. It also allows the human to summon the demon to their side at any time, with no say from the demon. So, if a human intentionally makes a demand of the demon, then the demon's free will is overridden and they must obey - but they can still complain about it. On the other hand, if a human is willing to give the demon free will, then the demon isn't forced to do anything. When the human who entered the pact dies, the demon is usually rewarded with their soul to do with as they please. However, because demons are able to set the terms of their own pacts (what the demon will offer and what the demon will receive upon the human's death), pacts can be as simple as "I'll give you my power, and my reward upon your death will be the good memories we've made." This is essentially the pact Satan has with MC in the game, and also the pact he made with Zelda (BotW) before his departure from Song.

Suitability & Plans:
Essentially the same as before. I played Satan for about a year and a half here before taking a break and I wanted to try and pick up where I left off. Some of his CR is still here so I'd like for him to build those relationships, but also to make new ones. He has a hard time letting down his walls, so just getting him out there, talking to people, and learning to appreciate the good in other people is basically my objective.

Test Drive Sample: Sample

Questions:

1. Will Satan's Journal still have a record of conversations past during the time while he was here (and presumably blank for the time he was gone)? Or will it be a fresh new journal and/or up to player preference?
2. Are the cat-bees still around........ He wants to go find the one he had.

Mammon, Avatar of Greed
Canon:
Obey Me!
Quote:
"You're not wrong. I already feel my motivation slipping."
Satan's second oldest brother who simply can't keep his hands off other people's possessions. Older than Satan by several thousand years, the unfortunate truth is that Mammon isn't necessarily the mature one.

Satan's early memories of Mammon are not particularly fond, considering he, along with his other brothers, were complicit in locking Satan up in a box and chaining him to things because he couldn't control his anger. Once Satan mellowed out and didn't lose his temper so easily, their relationship improved.

Still, if Satan is only allowed to have one brother at his side in Songerein, he's glad that it's Mammon. Satan may not be able to trust Mammon with his things, but he can trust Mammon when it comes to just about everything else. He'd never tell Mammon to his face, but he really does believe that Mammon is the most decent out of all of the demon brothers, and that yes, he's kind of cool and yes, he can be a great big brother sometimes. But only sometimes.

Because of Mammon's surprising emotional maturity when it comes to others, Satan feels comfortable going to Mammon for advice on various things. Mammon's laid back nature makes it easy for Satan to open up to him, and Mammon knows when to cut the teasing and take things seriously. Because of this, Satan is willing to share most of his thoughts with Mammon, but is still mindful on a few more sensitive topics because Mammon is his goofy older brother who likes to tease him, after all.

Satan may call Mammon an idiot (and he is), but Mammon is his idiot. If Mammon ever got into a situation he couldn't get himself out of, Satan would be there in two (not one) heartbeats.

Quote:
"I am a woman, not a cursed squash."
The two met in a pumpkin patch and were part of the first group pulled into the world. Initially amused by her attempts to regain her form, Satan offered to support her and give her tips about using magic. When she eventually freed herself, Satan was genuinely impressed that someone who was basically a human could learn to control this world's version of magic so quickly. Being impressed did not stop him from nicknaming her Little Miss Squash for the longest time, though.

The two became friends over time, discovering their shared interest in learning, botany and books. Zelda's willingness to tease him (he will never forget her threat to throw his books in the river) and to speak frankly with him made him realize the friendship he had with her was very real and genuine as opposed to the fair-weather friendships he was so used to maintaining. When he learned that she was a princess of a kingdom she failed to protect, he empathized with Zelda's burden of responsibility and urged her to be Just Zelda. Yes, she was a princess, but more than that, she was Zelda.

Realizing that the two of them may not always be in this world together, Satan eventually posed the suggestion of making a pact with her. As far as he knew, a pact could never be broken due to forgotten memories, and it would ensure that should they ever be separated, they'd have a pathway to one another. Offering her his first edition of Dictionary of Applied Potions in order to initiate the pact, it was one of the final things he did before waking up and leaving Songerein.

He loves her dearly, but is quite content just being by her side.

Quote:
"As much as I despise false names, my Hell gave me the nickname 'The Radio Demon.'"
A demon with cute little deer horns who comes from an alternate version of Hell. Satan supposes that when humans think of demons, Alastor is the type of demon who springs to mind: someone who could more or less pass for a human (if he were shorter) but with a 50 shades of gray morality.

Alastor isn't all bad, and admittedly, he finds it kind of funny how Mammon is absolutely terrified of him. While Satan isn't afraid of Alastor, he's annoyed by Alastor's willingness to just invade his personal space without permission.

Through Alastor's storytelling and a few dreams Satan has witnessed, Satan has a general idea of what Alastor's Hell is like. He knows there are annual cullings of Sinners, and he knows that Alastor's version of Lucifer has a daughter named Charlie which is... weird to him. Weirder is that Alastor's Lucifer married Lilith, which is just getting into territory Satan doesn't want to think about.

Regardless, Satan can understand why Alastor seems to be so highly ranked in his world. He seems powerful enough in a place that is completely unforgiving, which is impressive on its own.

Satan isn't fooled--or at least, he likes to think he's not fooled--and firmly believes there a part of Alastor way deep down that cares for other people. It's just hard to tell what Alastor's really thinking because he just won't stop smiling for two seconds.

Standing at around 6'0", Satan is the third tallest of his six brothers. His blond hair is layered and often slightly disheveled. Typically, his appearance is no different than that of a human, and so it is easy enough for him to blend in. His fashion style is trending and modern, and he dresses primarily in shades of green although lately his is incorporating neutral colors into his outfits. In his demon form, he gains a pair of curled, ramlike horns and a long draconic tail which he keeps tightly coiled around his leg. He also wears a black feather boa in this form, black shirt and pants, and a black and neon green ribbon tied in such a way to mimic a human ribcage.

SUMMARY
A bubbling pool of fury on the inside and a charming smile on the outside, Satan works very hard to keep his temper under control. To him, knowledge is the number one tool. His frank and rational disappears in two circumstances. The first is when he's lost his temper, at which point very little is able to rein him. The second is when he's in the presence of a cat, at which point he is helplessly fond of them.
BACKGROUND
FAMILY
Lucifer Avatar of Pride
The first angel to to Fall and become a demon. In the Celestial Realm, he was a seraph who was responsible for mentoring younger angels. Lucifer spent several millennia so discontent with how things were being run in the Celestial Realm that the wrath in his heart became sentient. When he Fell, his wrath dispersed, forming an entirely new demon: Satan. Because Satan owes his entire existence to Lucifer, Satan often feels like he is living in Lucifer's shadow. Although Lucifer cares for Satan greatly, the two of them find it difficult to get along due to their similar personalities and anger issues.

Mammon Avatar of Greed.
The second angel to Fall and become a demon, he was the first to agree to join Lucifer's side in the war. In the Celestial Realm, Mammon was recently promoted to Throne due to Lucifer's recommendation. Although the brothers are quick to throw insults at Mammon and use him as their emotional punching bag, Satan is less inclined to due so. Given the intensity of Mammon's Sin and how destructive it can be to their familial relationships, Satan empathizes with the difficulties of keeping a Sin in check. Satan learned from Mammon the value in caring for other people, how to be patient, and how to be kind to his brothers.

Leviathan Avatar of Envy
The third angel to Fall and become a demon. A great military leader in the Celestial Realm, as a demon he prefers to stay shut inside his room and play video games or watch anime. Satan initially looked down on Leviathan's hobbies, especially manga as he considered it to be beneath him. However, after giving manga a try, Satan decided that it was actually worthwhile, although it wouldn't become his go-to entertainment. As part of the Middle Children group, Satan and Leviathan often hang out together, although their interests don't always align.

Asmodeus Avatar of Lust.
The fourth angel to Fall and become a demon. In the Celestial Realm, he frequently slipped away into the human world to enjoy their parties but would hide in the forest once he came back to avoid punishment. Asmodeus was the first to truly reach out to Satan and begin dismantling his walls by including him more in their conversations and trying to make him feel included by painting his nails. Although Satan thinks Asmodeus is overly concerned by his looks, as part of the Middle Children group, the two of them spend a fair amount of time together, despite having virtually nothing in common.

Beelzebub Avatar of Gluttony
The fifth angel to Fall and become a demon. In the Celestial Realm, Beelzebub was a cherub who guarded the heavenly gates who struggled to control his strength. Although the two of them don't spend much time together, Satan has an appreciation for how consuming Beelzebub's Sin is. As Satan is often the one stuck on kitchen duty, especially when others shirk their duties, Satan is usually the one most frustrated by Beelzebub's frequent midnight feasts. Because they can both be competitive people, they often end up in silly competitions like who can eat or drink more.

Belphegor Avatar of Sloth.
The sixth and final angel to Fall. Belphegor looked up to Lucifer more than anyone during his time in the Celestial Realm. When their sister Lilith was condemned to obliteration by their Father for extending the life of a human she loved, Belphegor joined Lucifer in the war to protect her. In the end, Lilith was lost and, needing a place to direct the blame, he settled with blaming himself and humans equally. His hatred of humans caused Lucifer to lock him in the attic for a year for his own protection, which poisoned his love for Lucifer. Once he was released from the attic, Belphegor and Satan became partners in crime. Together they formed the Anti-Lucifer League and invited Mephistopheles into their ranks.

Age 0 Nightbringer S1
Lucifer Fell from the Celestial Realm. As he fell into the Devildom, Satan was given a physical form and the two of them Fell together. The Demon King gave them their ranking order and their titles before beginning his eternal slumber. Because of Satan's uncontrollable wrath due to his sin and violent tendencies, Lucifer decided to keep Satan chained up and locked away until he could be dealt with.
Age 1 Nightbringer S1
After a year or so, Satan was given the occasional freedom to roam around. However, he still had zero control of his temper, and so he would often destroy rooms or threaten violence against his brothers. Because of this, he would still sometimes be chained up to keep him restrained.

MC (from the future) arrives, finding their pacts with the seven brothers. MC embarks on a quest once again to remake their pacts. The brothers are given an opportunity by the Seraph Michael to return to the Celestial Realm, but only on the condition they abandon Satan in the Devildom as he was born a demon. The brothers are decline the chance to go home, refusing to abandon Satan. Lucifer goes so far as to consider allowing the others to return while remaining in the Celestial Realm to care for Satan.

Satan's arc in this season consists of him discovering how to feel and understand emotions beside anger. He is introduced to cats and takes an immediate liking to them. With great effort from his family, Satan finally begins to mellow out.
Age 1 Nightbringer S2
Lucifer is detained for his previous war crimes. MC and the brothers go to rescue him, but one by one, the brothers are incapacitated. Eventually, Lucifer is able to free himself and confronts Diavolo. The two of them engage in magical combat, with Lucifer furious that his brothers have been placed in so much danger again. Diavolo and Lucifer are able to work things out and things return to normal. MC is able to return to their own timeline.

Satan continues to grow throughout the arc. Although he is incredibly short-tempered, he begins to learn to control his temper as well as subdue is violent knee-jerk reactions when he is angry.
Age 1000 Obey Me: S1
Lord Diavolo began to run the exchange program. Fearful that Diavolo would kill Belphegor due to his hatred of humans, Lucifer locked Belphegor in the attic and told his brothers that Belphegor was participating in the exchange program. Solomon and MC (Yuki/Ibuki) were the humans who came to the Devildom while Simeon and Luke are the angels who come to the Devildom. While Solomon pursued Lucifer to make a pact with him, MC eventually stumbled upon Belphegor in the attic.

Belphegor convinced MC to make pacts with his six brothers so that MC could use that power to release him from the attic. MC was successful in this quest, eventually making pacts with Mammon, Leviathan, Beelzebub, Asmodeus and finally Satan. Once Belphegor is freed from the attic and the events that unfold due to it, he is the sixth one to make a pact with MC. Lucifer is the seventh and final pact MC makes.

During this season, Satan's arc mainly consists of trying to come to terms that he isn't the same person as Lucifer, and that he is not a suitable replacement.
Age 1000 Obey Me: S2
Unnatural magical disasters begin to happen in all three realms. Solomon returns the the Devildom to secretly investigate and brings MC along for the ride. Several insignificant events happen such as the accidental consumption of Gold Hellfire Newt Soup and the transformation of RAD into an Escape Room. At one point, Beelzebub breaks one of Lucifer's records that once belonged to the Reaper, Thirteen. The brothers, Solomon and MC travel to the Reaper's Cave to ensure that Thirteen hasn't shortened Beelzebub's life in anger. When it turns out that she has, Lucifer uses his own candle of life, allowing the melted wax to drip on Beelzebub's candle and sharing his life force with him.

The unnatural magical disasters eventually reach a point where Lucifer is affected, and eventually Lucifer completely forgets his identity as the Avatar of Pride and as an angel from the Celestial Realm. It's determined that the disasters are caused by MC being too powerful by being a descendent of an angel who made seven pacts with demons. Breaking the pacts is discussed, and Lucifer goes so far as to suggest MC kill him if needed to remove his pact with MC. The situation is resolved when Simeon steals the Ring of Light from Michael and gives it to MC. The ring, having originally belonged to Lucifer, helps MC control their power so there is no longer a need to consider breaking the pacts.

Satan's arc during this season consists of building on his growth from season 1. When Lucifer is affected by the out-of-control magic of MC and loses his memories, Satan outwardly demonstrates care for Lucifer. He is visibly concerned when Lucifer collapses at first, and then later even goes so far as to try to protect Lucifer from being taken advantage of by their brothers.
Age 1000 Obey Me S3
The majority of this season is set in the human world with its primary event being Mammon and Leviathan accidentally releasing the Bogeyman into the human world. Given that the Bogeyman's power consists of torturing its victims, it was difficult for the brothers to approach it in order to subdue it. The brothers took turns trying to corner the Bogeyman, but it twisted reality into each brother's deepest fear. Mammon and Leviathan's greatest fear was an angry Lucifer in his demon form, while Satan's was Lucifer in his angelic form. Asmodeus' greatest fear was having an ugly face. Belphegor's greatest fear was complete and total isolation, while Beelzebub's greatest fear was hurting Belphegor, which is unsurprising given the guilt they both feel about Lilith's death.

Satan's arc this season consists of his confrontation with the Bogeyman. During this arc, an angelic Lucifer appears in the Colosseum where the brothers landed in the Devildom when they first Fell. The Bogeyman-as-Angelic-Lucifer belittles Satan, treating him as someone small and insignificant who lives in his shadow. The real Lucifer steps in and reminds Satan that no matter what the Bogeyman says, Satan is his own person. He has his own thoughts and feelings, and although Satan may have been born from him, whatever symbiotic connection they had has been severed. Satan uses his magic to destroy the Bogeyman, although when Lucifer and Simeon are alone with the Bogeyman, it begins to revive. It turns into a bright light, and Lucifer decides to finish it off permanently. Simeon later admits he believes the Bogeyman was reflecting his own fears of their Father.
Age 1000 Obey Me S4
Early in the season, Lucifer asks Satan to complete some paperwork, stating that it didn't matter which one of them completed it, Satan took such great offense that he left the Devildom entirely and retreated to a hotel in the human world. When Leviathan and Asmo go after him to bring him back home on Lucifer's order, they fumble comforting him, instead making him even angrier. In the end, it's Lucifer who confronts Satan. He clarifies it didn't matter who did the paperwork because he knew Satan would complete the paperwork perfectly, just the way he wanted it done.

Diavolo invites MC to properly join the student council, although he puts MC through a battery of tests to ensure they can handle the job.

It is also during this season that the brothers notice that something is wrong with Simeon. He's been oddly quiet and secretive lately and refuses to explain why. Satan acquires an illegal first edition copy of Dictionary of Applied Magical Potions in order to brew Verbum Drops, a potion that forces the imbiber to tell the truth. He very stupidly leaves the potion alone with Beelzebub, and when he returns, a dark crevasse has formed.

The Dark Crevasse temporarily sucks up Asmodeus, Mammon and Leviathan, and then over the course of several days, makes them experience all different kinds of side effects, such as their names being stolen from their brothers' memory and culminating with them becoming invisible. In order to save the three brothers, another dark crevasse is created and a magical item is thrown in to destroy both it and the dark crevasse. It is at this point that they finally discover what is wrong with Simeon: he is unable to use his angelic blessing at all. Later, he confirms that he is no longer an angel. The Celestial Realm has stripped him of his angelic status and turned him mortal.

Satan's arc is primarily his confrontation with Lucifer, and how despite his efforts, Satan still struggles to see himself as anything other than Lucifer's substitute. His expectations in competitions is also touched on, where he becomes extremely competitive in order to defeat Lucifer and becomes angry when his teammates aren't putting in any effort.

He also frequently talked wot Alastor ([personal profile] lonelysmiles) and Angel Dust ([personal profile] itsytitsyspider) from Hazbin Hotel.

It was Zelda who affected him most profoundly. With hardly any effort on her part, she was able to defrost him significantly. He grew quite fond of her, to the point that he began to think about how he would feel if they were ever separated by returning to their worlds. Eventually, Satan proposed that Zelda make a pact with him. She agreed, although he waited a few days before actually performing the ritual to give her a chance to back out.

However, because demons are able to set the terms of their own pacts (what the demon will offer and what the demon will receive upon the human's death), pacts can be as simple as "I'll give you my power, and my reward upon your death will be the good memories we've made." This is essentially the pact Satan has with MC in the game, and also the pact he made with Zelda ([personal profile] multidisciplinary) before his departure from [community profile] songerein.
TRIVIA
1. When Satan was one year old, Lucifer allowed him to have a single cat. Excited by this opportunity, he created a cat summoning circle. However, because he couldn't decide on what kind of cat he wanted, his summoning circle summoned an endless amount of cats, completely filling up the House of Lamentation. It was due to this incident that Lucifer banned Satan from ever owning a pet.

2. Satan has no use for bookmarks because he just remembers where he left off, but he will use bookmarks or booktabs if they are cat themed.

3. Although Satan is around 1,000 years old, he had existed inside Lucifer for several thousand years more than that. Because he was hardly more than the emotion of wrath with a consciousness, it wasn't until he was expelled from Lucifer during his Fall that he gained his own identity separate from Lucifer. Satan retains very fragmented memories of Lucifer's time in the Celestial Realm, but they are so fragmented that it came as a surprise to him when he learned his brothers only came to fear Lucifer after the Fall.

4. His second favorite animal after cats is the hedgehog. He likes them enough to be willing to make one his familiar.

🐱Character Information🐱

Satan is the youngest of the seven demon brothers, though he is ranked as the "fourth oldest" based on his power in comparison to his brothers. He was born of Lucifer's wrath when he ripped two of his angel wings off after he and his brothers were on the losing side of the Celestial War.

Upon his creation, he was filled with nothing but unrelenting wrath and a recollection of Lucifer's memories and feelings. The demon brothers describe raising him as each of them taking turns to teach him about the world. However, they note that Lucifer spent the most time with Satan, resulting in Satan being most like Lucifer in terms of personality for better or for worse.

Because of the anger he initially feels toward Lucifer, Satan has crafted his appearance to be as opposite as possible. While Lucifer wears dark formal attire, Satan's outfits are more casual and brighter. Satan's demon horns and posture are the mirror opposite of Lucifer's while his blond hair and green eyes are a stark contrast to Lucifer's black hair and red eyes.

Although he is the Avatar of Wrath, Satan makes a concentrated effort to keep himself composed. He speaks and acts politely and can often be seen wearing a kind smile. While much of this is fabricated to appear calm and collected, he definitely does have a fondness for many things including literature, classical music and animals -- especially cats. In general, he is able to get along well with others, even when meeting them for the first time.

Because he was born after the Celestial War, he is the only one of his brothers who was born a demon. The rest of his brothers were originally angels before they were banished from the Celestial Realm. This means that the memories he has of his sister Lilith are strictly from Lucifer rather than from his own memories.

Throughout the course of the story, Satan's angry feelings toward Lucifer soften to the point where he and Belphegor, the youngest brother in terms of power, have named themselves the "Formerly Anti-Lucifer League." In the beginning of the story, Satan would do just about anything to make Lucifer's life difficult, even if it was troublesome for himself as well. However, as the story progresses, he develops a fondness for Lucifer and is even genuinely concerned about Lucifer's wellbeing.

Satan has a thirst for knowledge and his hobby of reading is less a hobby and more a lifestyle. His room is packed full with bookshelves weighed down heavily by copious amounts of books to the point where there is not enough room for them all and some books are on the floor or floating in midair. His desire to learn from books comes from his belief that the more knowledgeable someone is, the more they will be respected.
